Creative Coding Utrecht (CCU) is thé platform for digital creativity. They work on projects where art, technology and ecology come together, directly in and with the local environment. In doing so, they look not only at people, but also at what animals, plants and other life forms need and mean within what is happening.
Highlights
Highlights of the goals Creative Coding Utrecht is working towards as a Zoöp:
- Health and collaboration within the team
CCU is working towards a healthier and better-attuned team. Regular moments are being built in to allow open discussion of stress and collaboration, such as walks, check-ins and sessions where everyone reflects on how they are doing. New ways of incorporating rest and recovery into the working rhythm are also being tested. - The building and surroundings as a shared living space
The Boomtoren and the Hof are being actively developed as a place where other life also has space. This includes creating habitats for bats and hedgehogs, and making nature in and around the building more visible. In this way, the building itself becomes part of a broader ecosystem. - More-than-human approaches in the programme
Projects and activities increasingly engage with the question of what it means to take other forms of life into account. This can involve trees playing a role in programmes, as well as exploring new forms of 'life', such as the role and limits of AI in relation to ecology and consciousness.
