Monique Janssen

Monique Janssens is an ethicist specializing in animal issues and communication. She is driven to take on whatever is needed to improve the world.

When she noticed that companies rarely discuss animals in their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities, she personally made the philosophical connection between business ethics and animal ethics. She obtained her PhD from Erasmus University Rotterdam on the moral responsibility of companies towards animals (book: Dierenzaken / Animal Business, 2020).

Both as an employee and through her consultancy firm Ethisch Bedrijf, she has worked for many animal protection organizations, government institutions, and universities. She is a former member of the National Advisory Committee on Animal Testing Policy and a current member of the Mirror Group of the European Partnership for Alternative Approaches to Animal Testing (EPAA).

Monique is committed to the emancipation of all living beings and the preservation of the Earth as a network of ecosystems through regeneration. In her spare time, as the founder of Sustainable Boomers on Instagram and TikTok, she inspires a broad audience to live a sustainable and vegan lifestyle.
