The opening of GROUND is a collective celebration where CCU joins forces with the community of the Hof van Cartesius to take visitors on a journey through more-than-human materialities, movements, and rhythms. The event takes place during U?, a freely accessible program part of the music festival Le Guess Who? showcasing local and creative communities.
From then until the 22th of November, across the garden and indoor spaces of Het Hof van Cartesius, you’ll find living installations where art, ecology and technology intertwine: artworks that bring together bacteria, soil and the sun, clay circuit boards made by hand, a solar-powered web server, and antennas that feed the soil with energy from the sky. You can even sing along with birds and frogs in a multispecies karaoke. The rest of the Ground programme includes meetups, workshops and the Klankdiner.
Each work in Ground invites you to tune in differently, to energy, matter, and the unseen connections that shape our shared world.
Come explore it yourself at the Boomtoren at Hof van Cartesius from 8 to 22 November! Entrance is completely FREE!
